Frequently Asked Question's:
How many sessions will I have to come for?
This is very much so dependent on each individual patient. Some patients may only ever see me twice annually when they get their common colds/flu, while other patients with long standing chronic conditions may require numerous follow-ups in order to manage their respective condition responsibly. It is entirely different from patient to patient.
Will I see improvements immediately?
This varies from person to person, but subtle changes and gradual improvements are usually seen between each session. Some people can see dramatic improvements in a very short period of time, and for others it may take slightly longer.
Is it a problem if I am already taking conventional medicine?
Details of any drugs you are on should be given to your Homeopath. Having said that, Homeopathic remedies can be given alongside conventional treatment provided you make your GP aware of your choice to do so.
Will there be any side effects?
One of the great things about Homeopathy is that it is gentle and safe for all ages. In some case there may be what is termed in Homeopathy as an "aggravation". It is also often described as a "healing crisis". When and IF this occurs, a person may feel or experience a slight worsening of symptoms, after which rapid improvement is often seen. This is absolutely normal and can last between two to five days. If this does occur and you are concerned, always contact your homeopath and inform them.
Is it safe?
Absolutely! All remedies come from natural sources and work alongside the body's own innate healing processes.
Do you give dietary advice?
Many people think they eat healthily, however often a few minor adjustments here and there are commonly suggested. Nutrition plays a pivotal part of healing and is absolutely essential in aiding the body in healing.
Are you registered with a governing body?
Yes. I am a Member of the Complementary Medical Association, the General Council and Register of Naturopaths and the Complementary & Natural Health care Council.
Is the information I give confidential?
Absolutely. This goes without question. The cherished relationship between a homeopath and a patient is one built on trust and empathy, and confidentiality is vital to establish this bond.
